BEAUTIFUL DREAMS In the 1500s, when Sultan Selim returns from his campaign to Persia, a Janissary soldier brings with him to Istanbul some scrolls that show various human and demon figures. A pasha in the Council is informed about the scrolls the Janissary soldier hands in to the palace library. The pasha, who considers these scrolls sinful because Islam does not allow paintings, tears them into pieces with his dagger and hides them in a secret corner of the library. On the other hand, feeling that the figures on the scrolls are meant to tell him something, he cannot bring himself to destroy them altogether.

The Brother's Blood The Brother's Blood is Baris Mustecaplioglu's sixth novel and a police story taking place among organized crime organizations training street kids as professional hitmen or drug salers and a young woman searching for killers of his brother with help of an old crime lord. As all thrillers of Mustecaplioglu, Brother's Blood has many surprising events, twists, breathless chases, unlimited action and it also questions who is really evil, the street kids that is turned to monsters in crime world or the society paying no attention to what is done to them or the government officers in cooperation with these crime organizations. The story takes place in Istanbul and had been inspired by real events occurred in Turkey in recent years. It had been officially reported that there was more than 40.000 street kids in Turkey in 2004, and 15.273 kids were involved in at least one crime event in 2005 only in Istanbul.
